يتم العرض الأول في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا لفيلم ماتيو جاروني الأحدث “أنا القائد”، في الدورة الـ45 لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي. عُرض الفيلم عالميًا للمرة الأولى في مهرجان فينيسيا السينمائي حيث فاز بـ 10 جوائز بينها الأسد الفضي لأفضل إخراج وجائزة أفضل ممثل شاب لسيدو سار بطل الفيلم، إضافة إلى ذلك، فقد فاز الفيلم بجائزة أفضل فيلم أوروبي في مهرجان سان سيباستيان السينمائي، وهو مُرشح دولة إيطاليا لجوائز الأكاديمية (الأوسكار) هذا العام.
