تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الأمريكي “جو بايدن”.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الاتصال تناول آخر مستجدات المفاوضات الجارية والجهود المصرية للتوصل إلى تهدئة في قطاع غزة ووقف لإطلاق النار وتبادل الرهائن، كما تم التشديد على خطورة التصعيد العسكري في مدينة رفح الفلسطينية، لما سيضيفه من أبعاد كارثية للأزمة الإنسانية المتفاقمة بالقطاع فضلاً عن تأثيراته على أمن واستقرار المنطقة.
وذكر المتحدث الرسمي أن السيد الرئيس أكد ضرورة النفاذ الكامل والكافي للمساعدات الإنسانية، مستعرضاً الجهود المصرية المكثفة في هذا الصدد، كما أكد الرئيسان ضرورة العمل على منع توسع دائرة الصراع، وجددا تأكيد أهمية حل الدولتين باعتباره سبيل تحقيق الأمن والسلام والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
هذا، وقد تم خلال الاتصال تأكيد الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين مصر والولايات المتحدة، ومواصلة العمل المشترك لتعزيز علاقات التعاون الثنائي على شتى الأصعدة.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from US President Joe Biden.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the call touched on the latest developments regarding the ongoing negotiations and Egypt’s efforts to achieve calm in the Gaza Strip, reach a ceasefire, and exchange captives, stressing on the danger of a military escalation in the Palestinian city of Rafah, as it would add catastrophic dimensions to the worsening humanitarian crisis in the sector, as well as its effects on the region’s security and stability.
President El-Sisi stressed the necessity of full and adequate access to humanitarian aid, reviewing the intensive Egyptian efforts in this regard. The two presidents also stressed the necessity of working to prevent the expansion of the conflict and reaffirmed the importance of the two-state solution as the means to achieve security, peace, and stability in the region.
The two presidents confirmed the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States and the continuation of joint action to strengthen bilateral cooperation at various levels.
