أحد الفرق الفائزة في مسابقة Fintech Got Talent يحصد المركز الأول في مسابقة “العرب للتكنولوجيا المالية” للعام الثاني على التوالي
تمكن أحد الفرق الفائزة بالتصفيات النهائية للنسخة الثانية من مسابقة “كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية FinTech Got Talent”، التي نظمتها “فينتك إيجيبت” التابعة للبنك المركزي المصري، للعام الثاني على التوالي، من حصد المركز الأول في مسابقة “العرب للتكنولوجيا المالية” التي انعقدت مؤخرًا بدبي ضمن فعاليات معرض جايتكس GITEX North Star 2024.
يأتي ذلك استمرارًا لجهود البنك المركزي المصري في دعم ورعاية كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية من الشباب، حيث تم تأهيل ودعم الفرق الفائزة بالمركزين الأول والثاني بمسابقة ” كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية FinTech Got Talent” لتمثيل مصر في المسابقة العربية، ونجح فريق كلية الاقتصاد والعلوم السياسية بجامعة القاهرة، بعد منافسة قوية مع عدد من الجامعات العربية، من حصد المركز الأول عن مشروع “ازرع لي EZRAALI”، والذي يهدف إلى ربط موردي المدخلات والمزارعين والتجار من خلال تطبيق إلكتروني واحد.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال المهندس / أيمن حسين وكيل أول محافظ البنك المركزي لقطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات بأن فوز الفريق المصري بالمركز الأول بمسابقة العرب للتكنولوجيا المالية للعام الثاني على التوالي يعد تتويجًا لجهود البنك في دعم ورعاية كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية من الشباب تحت مظلة مبادرة “FinYology”، كما يؤكد أن السوق المصري غني بالمواهب الشابة في مجال التكنولوجيا المالية، وأن البنك المركزي لا يدخر جهدًا في سبيل تأهيل وتنمية هذه المواهب خاصة طلاب الجامعات، بما يتوافق مع إستراتيجيته للتكنولوجيا المالية والابتكار التي تم إطلاقها في 2019.
وقامت ” فينتك إيجيبت ” بإطلاق النسخة الثانية من مسابقة ” كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية FinTech Got Talent”، الشهر الماضي بالتعاون مع المعهد المصرفي المصري وعدد من الجامعات والبنوك، وتم اختيار أفضل ثلاثة مشاريع ضمن 10 جامعات حكومية وأهلية وخاصة تم تأهيلها للتصفيات النهائية ، حيث جاء في المرتبة الأولى المشروع المقدم من الفريق الممثل لكلية إدارة الأعمال بجامعة النيل الأهلية، وفي المرتبة الثانية الفريق الممثل لكلية الاقتصاد و العلوم السياسية بجامعة القاهرة، بينما في المرتبة الثالثة فريق كلية إدارة الأعمال لمدينة زويل للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار، على أن تقوم حاضنة الأعمال “MINT Incubator” باحتضان الفرق العشرة المؤهلة في التصفيات النهائية لمدة ثلاثة أشهر من خلال تقديم برنامج دعم فني متكامل للوصول بأفكار تلك المشاريع إلى التطبيق الفعلي.
وجدير بالذكر أنه تم إطلاق مسابقة ” كوادر التكنولوجيا المالية ” العام الماضي تحت مظلة مبادرة FinYology التابعة لـ “فينتك إيجيبت”، وتهدف إلى تقديم الدعم لشباب الجامعات لتعزيز قدراتهم على ابتكار حلول وتطبيقات رقمية تلبي احتياجات السوق المالي والمصرفي، كما تجدر الإشارة إلى أن مبادرة “FinYology” بالشراكة مع المعهد المصرفي المصري وعدد من البنوك والمؤسسات المالية المصرية، تمكنت من تحقيق إنجازات كبيرة منذ إطلاقها في فبراير 2020 حتى الآن، حيث بلغ عدد الجامعات المشاركة فيها نحو 30 جامعة حكومية وأهلية وخاصة، كما وصل عدد المشروعات التي قام الطلاب بتنفيذها إلى 600 مشروع في مجال التكنولوجيا المالية بمشاركة حوالي 7,400 طالب.

A Final Qualifier Team in the “FinTech Got Talent” Competition Secures First Place in the “Arab FinTech Challenge” for the Second Consecutive Year
One of the final qualifiers in the second edition of the “FinTech Got Talent” competition, organized by “Fintech Egypt” – an initiative by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) – attained first place at “Arab FinTech Challenge” for the second consecutive year. The contest was held recently in Dubai, as part of the “GITEX North Star 2024” exhibition.
This achievement reflects the CBE’s unwavering efforts to support and sponsor youth in the FinTech sector, as the first and second place winners of “FinTech Got Talent” received extensive support to represent Egypt in the “Arab FinTech Challenge”. Notably, the team from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University secured first place for their project “EZRAALI” after fierce competition with a number of other participating universities from different Arab countries. The project aims to connect suppliers, farmers, and traders through one digital application.
In this regard, Eng. Ayman Hussein, First Sub-Governor for Information Technology Sector at the CBE, emphasized, “The Egyptian team’s second consecutive victory in the ’Arab FinTech Challenge’ highlights the CBE’s efforts to support and foster young FinTech calibers under the ’FinYology’ initiative. This win also underscores that the Egyptian market is rich with young talent in the FinTech sector, reinforcing the CBE’s keenness to qualifying, building, and developing these individuals, with university students at the forefront, and in alignment with the FinTech and Innovation Strategy launched in 2019”.
“FinTech Egypt” has launched the second edition of the “FinTech Got Talent” competition this month, in collaboration with the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) and a number of universities and banks operating in Egypt. The best three projects were selected from 10 public, private, and national universities that qualified for the final rounds, in which the shortlisted projects were; Nile University students from business administration won the first place, students of Cairo University from the faculty of economics and political science secured the second place, and Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation’s business administration students came in third place. Furthermore, the “MINT Incubator” will support all 10 teams that reached the final rounds of the competition for a period of three months by providing the respective teams with a comprehensive technical support program, with the objective of transforming their innovative ideas into practical applications.
The first edition of the “FinTech Got Talent” competition was introduced last year under the umbrella of “FinYology” initiative – launched by the CBE’s “FinTech Egypt” – and has consistently sought to empower university students to develop innovative digital solutions and applications that address the evolving needs of the Egyptian financial market and banking sector. Notably, the “FinYology” initiative, in collaboration with the EBI, and a number of banks and financial institutions operating in Egypt, has accomplished significant strides since its launch in February 2020, yielding in the participation of approximately 30 public, private, and national universities in the initiative, in addition to the implementation of more than 600 FinTech projects by over 7,400 students.
