إلتقى الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة الفريق أول / لوتشيانو بورتولانو رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة الإيطالية والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً ، وذلك بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع .
تناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز أوجه التعاون والشراكة بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين الصديقين فى مختلف المجالات .
وأكد رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة على إعتزازه بالعلاقات الممتدة بين القوات المسلحة المصرية والإيطالية ، مشيراً إلى حرص القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة على تعزيز آفاق التعاون العسكرى بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة لكلا الجانبين .
من جانبه أشار رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة الإيطالية إلى حرص بلاده على دعم العلاقات العسكرية وتبادل الخبرات بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين خلال المرحلة المقبلة ، مشيداً بدور مصر الفاعل وسعيها الدائم لإرساء دعائم الأمن والإستقرار بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط .
حضر اللقاء عدد من قادة القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Meets with Chief of the Italian Defence Staff

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with General Luciano Portolano, Chief of the Italian Defence Staff, and his accompanying delegation during their official visit to Egypt. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.
The discussions focused on strengthening avenues of cooperation and partnership between the armed forces of both friendly nations across various fields.
Lieutenant General Khalifa expressed his deep appreciation for the longstanding relations between the Egyptian and Italian Armed Forces. He emphasized the General Command’s commitment to enhancing military cooperation in ways that serve the mutual interests of both sides.
For his part, General Portolano affirmed Italy’s keenness to foster military relations and the exchange of expertise with the Egyptian Armed Forces in the coming period. He also praised Egypt’s pivotal role and its continuous efforts in promoting security and stability throughout the Middle East.
The meeting was attended by several senior military officials from both countries.
