إلتقى الفريق أول / عبد المجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى الفريق أول / ساهر شمشاد مرزا رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة الباكستانية والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً ، حيث أجريت له مراسم إستقبال رسمية بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع وعزفت الموسيقات العسكرية السلام الوطنى لكلا البلدين .
تناول اللقاء مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات ذات الإهتمام المشترك ، وسبل تعزيز أوجه التعاون العسكرى فى العديد من المجالات .
وأعرب القائد العام للقوات المسلحة على إعتزازه بعمق العلاقات التى تربط القوات المسلحة المصرية والباكستانية مشيراً إلى أهمية تنسيق الجهود وزيادة آفاق التعاون العسكرى بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الصديقين .
من جانبه أشار رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة الباكستانية إلى حرص بلاده على دعم العلاقات العسكرية وتبادل الخبرات بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين فى مختلف المجالات العسكرية خلال المرحلة المقبلة .
أعقب اللقاء جلسة مباحثات بين الجانبين تناولت سبل دعم آفاق التعاون فى مجالات الدفاع والأمن بين كلا البلدين ، وإختتمت الجلسة بتوقيع الجانبان على محضر الجلسة .
حضر اللقاء وجلسة المباحثات الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة وقادة الأفرع الرئيسية وعدد من قادة القوات المسلحة المصرية والباكستانية والسفير والملحق العسكرى الباكستانى بالقاهرة .

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.
An official reception ceremony was held for the distinguished guest at the premises of the Ministry of Defense General Secretariat, including a military band performance of the national anthems of both countries.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance military cooperation across various domains.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed his appreciation for the deep-rooted ties between the Egyptian and Pakistani Armed Forces, highlighting the importance of coordinating efforts and expanding the scope of military cooperation to serve the shared interests of both friendly nations.
For his part, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen military relations and to promote the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries in the upcoming period.
Following the meeting, both sides held a session of bilateral talks focusing on avenues to bolster defense and security cooperation. The session concluded with the signing of the official meeting minutes by both parties.
The meeting and discussions were attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the commanders of the main service branches, a number of senior officers from the Egyptian and Pakistani Armed Forces, as well as the Ambassador of Pakistan and the Pakistani Defense Attaché in Cairo.
