تُعقد اليوم الثلاثاء 18 نوفمبر، ضمن فعاليات أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما بالدورة الـ46 من مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، ورشة “قصتها… قوّتها: سد الفجوة الجندرية في السينما”، وذلك من الساعة 12:00 وحتى 1:30 مساءً، في فندق سوفيتيل أوبليسك 2، وبحضور حاملي البطاقات.
تشارك في الجلسة كلٌّ من إليزابيث جاستاد، والدكتورة رشا عصفور، والمخرجة الإماراتية نايلة الخاجة، والفنانة ناهد السباعي، فيما تُدير الحوار الدكتورة ميرفت أبو عوف.
تسلّط الورشة الضوء على الأثر المتزايد لحضور النساء خلف الكاميرا كمخرجات ومنتجات ومحترفات في الحقول التقنية والإبداعية، وكيف يسهم هذا الحضور في إعادة تشكيل المشهد السردي السينمائي عبر “النظرة الأنثوية” التي تمنح القصص على الشاشة زوايا جديدة وتفسيرات أكثر عمقًا وتنوعًا.
كما تتناول الجلسة دور الممثلات في تغيير صورة المرأة أمام الكاميرا، وتفكيك القوالب التقليدية المرتبطة بتجسيدها على الشاشة، إضافة إلى مناقشة الاستراتيجيات الكفيلة بتمكين الأصوات النسائية وتعزيز المساواة بين الجنسين في مختلف مراحل الصناعة.
وتأتي هذه الفعالية ضمن سلسلة الفعاليات المهنية التي يقدمها برنامج أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما، الهادفة إلى تشجيع تبادل الخبرات ودعم حضور المرأة في المشهد السينمائي العربي والدولي.

أُطلقت “أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما” كمنصّة مخصصة لدعم وتطوير الصناعة السينمائية في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، من خلال توفير فرص التمويل والتدريب والتشبيك بين صُنّاع الأفلام والخبراء الدوليين. تضم الأيام عدة برامج ومحاور رئيسية أبرزها: ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي، منتدى المحترفين، وورش العمل المتخصصة. وقد أصبحت اليوم إحدى أهم الفعاليات المهنية في المنطقة، لما تقدمه من فرص حقيقية لتطوير المشاريع والمواهب الناشئة.
*عن مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي*
يُعد مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي أحد أعرق المهرجانات في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، وأحد أبرز المهرجانات الدولية المعتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي للمنتجين (FIAPF). تأسس عام 1976، ويقام سنويًا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة. يحرص المهرجان في كل دورة على الجمع بين البعد الفني والبعد المهني، ما يجعله منصة رئيسية للحوار بين الثقافات وتعزيز حضور السينما العربية على الساحة الدولية.

Today: Workshop “Her Story… Her Strength” Discussing Women’s Empowerment and Closing the Gender Gap in Cinema
Today, Tuesday, November 18, as part of Cairo Industry Days within the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, the workshop titled “Her Story… Her Strength: Closing the Gender Gap in Cinema” will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Sofitel Hotel – Obelisk 2, with attendance limited to badge holders.
Participants in the session include Elizabeth Gastad, Dr. Rasha Asfour, Emirati director Nayla Al Khaja, and actress Nahed El Sebai, with moderation by Dr. Mervat Abu Awf.
The workshop highlights the increasing influence of women behind the camera—as directors, producers, and specialists in technical and creative fields—and how this presence reshapes cinematic storytelling through a “female gaze” that provides new angles and deeper, more diverse interpretations in on-screen narratives.
The session also addresses the role of actresses in changing the portrayal of women on screen and dismantling traditional stereotypes associated with female representation. It discusses strategies to empower female voices and promote gender equality at all stages of film production.
This event is part of the professional series by Cairo Industry Days, dedicated to fostering knowledge exchange and supporting women’s presence in both Arab and international cinema.
