يُعرض اليوم الخميس 20 نوفمبر، ضمن عروض الجالا في الدورة الـ46 لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، فيلم “صديق صامت” للمخرجة إلديكو إنيدي، في عرضه الأول بالشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، وذلك ضمن القسم الرسمي خارج المسابقة، على المسرح الكبير بدار الأوبرا المصرية في تمام الساعة 9:00 مساءً.
“صديق صامت” فيلم روائي طويل يمتد على مدار 147 دقيقة، من إنتاج ألماني–مجري–فرنسي مشترك، ويُقدَّم باللغتين الألمانية والإنجليزية، حيث ينسج رؤية شعرية وفلسفية حول علاقة الإنسان بالطبيعة عبر الزمن.
تدور أحداث الفيلم في مدينة جامعية ألمانية، حيث تلعب شجرة جنكو عتيقة تعود إلى القرون الوسطى دور الرابط العميق بين ثلاثة أشخاص يعيش كلٌّ منهم في زمن مختلف: عالمة أعصاب تُجري تجربة علمية في عام 2020، وطالب يتواصل مع النباتات ويراقبها في عام 1972، وطالبة تستكشف قدرتها على التواصل مع الطبيعة عبر عدسة الكاميرا في عام 1908. ومن خلال هذه الحكايات المتقاطعة، يستكشف الفيلم قوة الطبيعة الغامضة وقدرتها على إحداث تحولات عاطفية وروحية عميقة في البشر.
الفيلم من توقيع المخرجة العالمية إلديكو إنيدي، الحائزة على جوائز كبرى والمرشحة لجائزة الأوسكار. وقد نالت أعمالها مكانة بارزة في أهم المهرجانات الدولية؛ ففيلمها الروائي الأول “قرني العشرون” حصد جائزة الكاميرا الذهبية لأفضل عمل أول في مهرجان كان، وتنافس فيلمها “صائد السحر” في مهرجان البندقية، كما شارك فيلمها “تاماس وجولي” في البندقية أيضًا. وبعد فترة ابتعاد، عادت بقوة بفيلمها الشهير “عن الجسد والروح” الذي فاز بجائزة الدب الذهبي عام 2017 ورُشّح للأوسكار، بالإضافة إلى فيلم “قصة زوجتي” الذي شارك في مهرجان كان 2021.

Today: Premiere of the film “Silent Friend” in the Middle East and North Africa at the Cairo International Film Festival
Today, Thursday, November 20, as part of the Gala screenings of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, the film Silent Friend directed by Ildikó Enyedi will have its premiere in the Middle East and North Africa. The screening will take place at 9:00 PM on the Grand Theatre stage at the Cairo Opera House. The film is presented in the official section out of competition.
Silent Friend is a 147-minute narrative feature co-produced by Germany, Hungary, and France, presented in both German and English. It weaves a poetic and philosophical vision relating to humanity’s connection with nature through time.
The film is set in a German university town, where an ancient Ginkgo tree dating back to the Middle Ages serves as a profound link between three individuals living in different eras: a neuroscientist conducting a scientific experiment in 2020, a student who communicates with and observes plants in 1972, and a student exploring her ability to connect with nature through a camera lens in 1908. Through these interwoven stories, the film explores the mysterious power of nature and its ability to evoke deep emotional and spiritual transformations in humans.
The film is directed by the internationally acclaimed Ildikó Enyedi, a major award winner and Oscar nominee. Her works have gained prominence at top international festivals; her debut narrative film My Twentieth Century won the Camera d’Or for best first feature at Cannes, her film Magic Hunter competed at Venice, and Tamas and Juli also participated in Venice. After a period of absence, she returned strongly with her renowned film On Body and Soul, which won the Golden Bear in 2017 and was Oscar-nominated, as well as The Story of My Wife, which competed at Cannes in 2021.
