اتفق مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، أحد أعرق وأبرز المهرجانات السينمائية في العالم العربي والشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا، على الدخول في اتفاقيه تعاون مع لجنة الأفلام في المدينة الإعلامية – قطر، بهدف تطوير شراكة استراتيجية تدعم السينما العربية وتعزز حضورها في الأسواق الدولية.
وفي هذا السياق قال الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي:
“يمثل مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي منصة فنية وثقافية رائدة للسينما العربية، ونسعى إلى تعزيز التعاون مع الجهات والشركاء الذين يشاركوننا رؤية دعم صناعة السينما في المنطقة. هدفنا أن نخلق بيئة تقدم فرصًا جديدة لصناع الأفلام العرب، وتعزز قدرتنا في عرض قصصنا وهويتنا السينمائية على الساحة الدولية. نؤمن بأن العمل المشترك والتكامل بين المؤسسات سينعكس إيجابًا على نمو القطاع وإبراز المواهب.”
ومن جانبه قال سعادة السيد حسن عبدالله الذوادي، رئيس لجنة الأفلام في المدينة الإعلامية – قطر:
“نعتبر مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي شريكاً أساسياً في مساعينا لتقوية العلاقات الإقليمية بين الدول العربية وخلق فرص جديدة لصناع الأفلام محلياً وإقليمياً. هذا التعاون يأتي كإحدى الخطوات الرائدة لدعم نمو صناعة الأفلام في العالم العربي وتعزيز الابتكار والإبداع لدى المواهب الناشئة والمحترفة، إضافة إلى الارتقاء بالمنظومة السينمائية.”
ويعمل الطرفان حاليا على تنفيذ وتجهيز أطر التعاون المختلفة، التي تشمل فرص استثمارية مشتركة، تطوير منصات تجمع الخبراء والمواهب، دعم التطور المهني، ومشاريع الإنتاج المشترك التي تهدف إلى توسيع حضور الأفلام العربية وتوزيعها عالمياً.
عن مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي:
يُعد مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي من أبرز المهرجانات في المنطقة، وحصل على تصنيف “الفئة أ” من الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات منتجي الأفلام (FIAPF)، ويُقام سنويًا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة المصرية، والشركاء والرعاة الاستراتيجيين، ويجمع بين صناع السينما والمواهب من أنحاء العالم لعرض ودعم الأفلام العربية والعالمية.
لجنة الأفلام في المدينة الإعلامية – قطر:
لجنة الأفلام هي جهة متخصصة تابعة للمدينة الإعلامية في قطر، تهدف إلى دعم صناعة الأفلام محليًا وإقليميًا بتوفير بنية تحتية متطورة، وتحفيز الإنتاج السينمائي، ودعم المواهب، وتعزيز التعاون والاستثمار في قطاع السينما العربية، من خلال بناء شراكات استراتيجية وإقامة مبادرات تعزز من تطوير المشهد السينمائي في المنطقة.
Cairo International Film Festival and Film Committee in Qatar Media City Agree to Strategic Cooperation
The Cairo International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious and prominent film festivals in the Arab world, the Middle East, and Africa, has agreed to enter into a cooperation agreement with the Film Committee in Qatar Media City. The aim is to develop a strategic partnership that supports Arab cinema and enhances its presence in international markets.
In this context, the renowned artist Hussein Fahmy, President of the Cairo International Film Festival, stated:
“The Cairo International Film Festival represents a pioneering artistic and cultural platform for Arab cinema. We strive to strengthen cooperation with entities and partners who share our vision of supporting the film industry in the region. Our goal is to create an environment that provides new opportunities for Arab filmmakers and enhances our ability to present our stories and cinematic identity on the international stage. We believe that joint work and institutional integration will positively reflect on the sector’s growth and the emergence of talents.”
His Excellency Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Thawadi, Chairman of the Film Committee in Qatar Media City, said:
“We consider the Cairo International Film Festival a key partner in our efforts to bolster regional relations among Arab countries and create new opportunities for filmmakers locally and regionally. This cooperation represents one of the pioneering steps to support the growth of the film industry in the Arab world, enhance innovation and creativity among emerging and professional talents, and elevate the cinematic ecosystem.”
Currently, both parties are working on implementing and preparing various cooperation frameworks, which include joint investment opportunities, development of platforms bringing together experts and talents, professional development support, and co-production projects aimed at expanding the global presence and distribution of Arab films.
