في إطار الاستعدادات المبكرة لانطلاق الدورة السابعة والأربعين لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، استقبل الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد فؤاد هنو، وزير الثقافة، الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس المهرجان، وفريق عمل المهرجان، في اجتماع موسع عُقد بمقر وزارة الثقافة بالزمالك.
تناول الاجتماع استعراض الخطوط العريضة للنسخة الـ47 من المهرجان، والمقرر إقامتها في الفترة من 11 إلى 20 نوفمبر 2026. كما شهد اللقاء مناقشة مستفيضة لأبرز التحديات والمعوقات التي واجهت الدورة السابقة، ووضع آليات وحلول مبتكرة لتفاديها، بما يضمن تقديم دورة استثنائية تليق بمكانة السينما المصرية.
من جانبه، أكد الدكتور أحمد فؤاد هنو، وزير الثقافة، أن الوزارة تضع كافة إمكانياتها وقطاعاتها لدعم المهرجان، مشددًا على تقديم كافة أشكال الدعم اللوجستي والفني. وأشار الوزير إلى أن مهرجان القاهرة يمثل القوة الناعمة لمصر، وأن الحفاظ على ريادته وتطوير أدواته هو هدف استراتيجي للوزارة، لضمان ظهوره بالشكل الذي يليق بتاريخه العريق كلهم وأكبر مهرجان سينمائي في المنطقة.
وفي تعقيبه على هذا اللقاء، صرح الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس المهرجان، قائلاً:
“نثمن بكل تقدير الدعم اللامحدود الذي يقدمه السيد وزير الثقافة، الدكتور أحمد فؤاد هنو، للمهرجان. إن هدفنا في الدورة الـ47 وبجانب تقديم عروض أفلام متميزة، الارتقاء بالبنية التنظيمية للمهرجان لمواكبة أحدث المعايير العالمية. لقد بدأنا العمل مبكرًا هذا العام لوضع استراتيجية متكاملة تضمن تلافي أي معوقات سابقة، وتعزز من دور المهرجان كمنصة دولية رائدة لدعم صناعة السينما، خاصة وأنه المهرجان الوحيد في المنطقة العربية وإفريقيا المسجل في الاتحاد الدولي لمنتجي الأفلام (FIAPF) ضمن الفئة (A).”
حضر الاجتماع من فريق عمل المهرجان كل من: محمد طارق، المدير الفني للمهرجان؛ زين العابدين خيري، مدير المركز الصحفي؛ محمد سيد عبد الرحيم، مدير “أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما” وتامر زكي مدير إنتاج المهرجان.

Minister of Culture Receives Hussein Fahmy and Cairo International Film Festival Team to Discuss Preparations for 47th Edition

In the framework of early preparations for the launch of the 47th edition of Cairo International Film Festival, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, received the prominent artist Hussein Fahmy, President of the Festival, and the festival’s team in an extensive meeting held at the Ministry of Culture’s headquarters in Zamalek.
The meeting reviewed the general outlines for the 47th edition of the festival, scheduled to take place from November 11 to 20, 2026. The meeting also included a detailed discussion of the most significant challenges and obstacles faced during the previous edition, while establishing innovative mechanisms and solutions to avoid them, ensuring an exceptional edition that befits the stature of Egyptian cinema.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, emphasized that the Ministry is placing all its resources and sectors at the disposal of the festival, stressing the provision of all forms of logistical and technical support. The Minister noted that Cairo Festival represents Egypt’s soft power and that maintaining its leadership and developing its tools is a strategic goal for the Ministry to ensure it appears in a manner worthy of its long history as the largest film festival in the region.
Commenting on the meeting, artist Hussein Fahmy, President of the Festival, stated: “We highly value the unlimited support provided by the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, to the festival. Our goal for the 47th edition, alongside presenting distinguished film screenings, is to elevate the festival’s organizational infrastructure to keep pace with the latest international standards. We began working early this year to develop an integrated strategy to ensure the avoidance of any previous obstacles and to enhance the festival’s role as a leading international platform supporting the film industry, particularly as it is the only festival in the Arab and African regions registered with the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) in Category ‘A’.”
The meeting was attended by the following festival team members: Mohamed Tarek, Artistic Director; Zein El-Abedin Khairy, Director of the Press Center; Mohamed Sayed Abdel Rahim, Director of ‘Cairo Industry Days’; Nevine El-Zuhairi, Director of Visual and Audio Press; and Tamer Zaki, Festival Production Manager.
