عقد الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، جلسة مباحثات مع السيد تسوي يان المدير التنفيذي للجنة المنظمة لمهرجان بكين السينمائي الدولي ومدير عام شركة المهرجان، استهدفت مناقشة آليات تطوير العلاقات الثنائية والتبادل الثقافي.
ركز اللقاء على وضع خطوات عملية لتنشيط اتفاقية التعاون السارية بين المهرجانين، بما يضمن فتح آفاق جديدة لصناع السينما في كلا البلدين. وتطرقت النقاشات إلى تفاصيل الحضور الصيني في الدورة المقبلة لمهرجان القاهرة، وشملت المقترحات استضافة أسماء بارزة من صناع السينما الصينية للمشاركة في لجان التحكيم.
وامتدت المحادثات لتشمل التنسيق لعرض مجموعة مختارة من الأفلام الصينية ضمن برامج المهرجان المتنوعة، لإتاحة الفرصة أمام الجمهور المصري للاطلاع على المشهد السينمائي الآسيوي.
وفي ختام اللقاء، وجه الفنان حسين فهمي دعوة رسميًّا للسيد تسوي يان لحضور فعاليات الدورة القادمة من مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي التي تقام في الفترة من 11 إلى 20 نوفمبر 2026، تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة المصرية، وقدم اعتذاره عن تلبية الدعوة الموجهة إليه لحضور الدورة السادسة عشرة لمهرجان بكين السينمائي المقررة خلال شهر أبريل الجاري نظرًا لارتباطه المسبق بتصوير فيلم صيني خلال نفس الفترة.

*President of Cairo International Film Festival Discusses Expanding Cooperation Mechanisms with Beijing International Film Festival*
Renowned actor Hussein Fahmy, President of Cairo International Film Festival, held a discussion session with Mr. Cui Yan, Executive Director of the Organizing Committee of Beijing International Film Festival and General Manager of the Festival Company. The session aimed to discuss mechanisms for developing bilateral relations and cultural exchange.
The meeting focused on establishing practical steps to revitalize the ongoing cooperation agreement between the two festivals, ensuring the opening of new horizons for filmmakers in both countries. Discussions addressed the details of Chinese presence in the upcoming edition of Cairo International Film Festival, including proposals to host prominent names from the Chinese film industry to participate in the juries.
The talks extended to include coordination for screening a curated selection of Chinese films within the festival’s diverse programs, providing the Egyptian audience with an opportunity to explore the Asian cinematic scene.
At the conclusion of the meeting, actor Hussein Fahmy extended an official invitation to Mr. Cui Yan to attend the events of the upcoming edition of Cairo International Film Festival, scheduled to take place from November 11 to 20, 2026, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. He offered his apologies for not being able to accept the invitation to attend the 16th edition of Beijing International Film Festival, scheduled for this April, due to a prior commitment to shoot a Chinese film during the same period.
