استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم السيدة “كاترين كولونا” وزيرة خارجية فرنسا، وذلك بحضور السيد سامح شكري وزير الخارجية.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي أن اللقاء شهد تأكيد الجانبين أهمية الطابع الاستراتيجي للعلاقات الثنائية المتميزة بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات الاقتصادية والتنموية والثقافية، فضلاً عن التنسيق والتشاور المكثف بين الجانبين بشأن مختلف الملفات السياسية والأمنية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والذي انعكس خلال الأيام الماضية باتصالات هاتفية مكثفة بين السيد الرئيس والرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، بهدف دعم وصون الأمن والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط وحوض البحر المتوسط والقارة الأفريقية.
وقد شهد اللقاء تبادل الرؤى ووجهات النظر تجاه آخر تطورات أبرز القضايا الإقليمية، خاصةً ما يتعلق بالتصعيد العسكري في قطاع غزة، حيث عرض الجانب الفرنسي رؤيته في هذا الصدد، مع الإشادة بالدور المصري المحوري في التعامل مع هذا الملف الإقليمي الحيوي، بحكمة ومسئولية، من مختلف جوانبه السياسة والإنسانية، وتم التوافق بشأن خطورة الموقف الحالي وتهديده لأمن واستقرار المنطقة، وضرورة العمل على الحيلولة دون اتساع دائرة النزاع، فضلاً عن حماية المدنيين ومنع استهدافهم واحترام القانون الدولي الإنساني.
وقد أشار السيد الرئيس إلى تدهور الأوضاع الإنسانية بقطاع غزة، وما يستوجبه ذلك من ضرورة تحمل المجتمع الدولي مسئولياته بتوفير الاستجابة الإنسانية والإغاثية العاجلة لأهالي القطاع والتخفيف من وطأة معاناتهم، مشدداً في هذا الصدد على ضرورة خفض التصعيد، فضلاً عن رفض تعريض المدنيين لسياسات العقاب الجماعي من حصار وتجويع أو تهجير.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن الجانبين توافقا كذلك على أهمية العمل الدولي الحثيث نحو تسوية القضية الفلسطينية من خلال التوصل إلى حل عادل وشامل على أساس حل الدولتين وفقاً لمرجعيات الشرعية الدولية، وبما يحقق الأمن والاستقرار لجميع شعوب المنطقة.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shourky.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said both sides affirmed the importance of the strategic nature of the distinguished relations between the two countries across the economic, development and cultural fields, in addition to intensive coordination and consultation between the two sides, regarding various political and security files of common interest. This was reflected during the past days in terms of extensive calls between President El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron, with the aim of supporting and safeguarding security and stability in the Middle East, the Mediterranean Basin and Africa.
Views were exchanged on the latest regional developments, especially the military escalation in the Gaza Strip. The French minister of foreign affairs presented France’s view in this regard, while praising Egypt’s key role in dealing with this vital regional issue, with wisdom and responsibility, from various political and humanitarian aspects. Views were aligned on the gravity of the current situation and its threat to the region’s security and stability, as well as the need to prevent the expansion of the conflict, to protect civilians and prevent targeting them and to respect international humanitarian law.
President El-Sisi highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities by providing an urgent humanitarian and relief aid to the people of the Strip and alleviating their suffering. The President stressed the need for de-escalation, as well as the rejection to expose civilians to policies of collective punishment, such as siege, starvation or displacement.
The two sides also agreed on the importance of diligent international work towards settling the Palestinian issue by reaching a just and comprehensive solution, based on the two-state solution in accordance with the terms of reference of international legitimacy, so as to realize security and stability for all the peoples of the region.
