ألقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم كلمة مسجلة بمناسبة الاحتفال بالذكرى الثمانين لإنشاء الأمم المتحدة، تناول سيادته خلالها سبل تطوير دور المنظمة الأممية، وتعزيز قدرتها على مواجهة التحديات الدولية الجسيمة الراهنة، وفيما يلي نص كلمة السيد الرئيس:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السيدات والسادة،
فى هذه اللحظة التاريخية، التى نحتفل فيها بمرور ثمانين عاما، على إنشاء الأمم المتحدة، تقف مصر؛ كإحدى الدول المؤسسة لهذه المنظمة العريقة معتزة بدورها الريادي، في الدفاع عن ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وترسيخ مبادئ السلم والأمن الدوليين، وكأحد أكبر المساهمين في جهود حفظ السلام.
ويأتي احتفالنا اليوم في لحظة مفصلية، تعاد فيها صياغة التوازنات الدولية، وتفرض تحديات غير مسبوقة على المجتمع الدولى.
وإذ تؤمن مصر؛ بأنه لا بديل عن تطوير وإصلاح الأمم المتحدة، لجعلها قادرة على مواكبة هذه التحولات؛ فإنها تؤكد على أن أى تطوير أو إصلاح، يجب أن يرسخ ضرورة احترام القانون الدولى، وتجنب ازدواجية المعايير.
وفى السياق ذاته، تثمن مصر جهود السكرتير العام، فى إصلاح المنظمة، كما تشدد على أهمية اضطلاع المنظمة، بدور ملموس فى تحقيق السلام المنشود بالشرق الأوسط، وتجنب التصعيد.
كما تؤمن مصر أيضا؛ بالدور المحورى للأمم المتحدة، فى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، واحترام حقوق الإنسان، وتنسيق الجهود فى مواجهة التحديات العالمية، وعلى رأسها تغير المناخ وندرة المياه.
ويسعدنى ونحن نحتفل اليوم، بهذه الذكرى التاريخية، أن أعلن عن تدشين مصر، لمقر جديد للمكاتب الأممية الإقليمية والقطرية، بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة، تأكيداً على التزام مصر الراسخ، بدعم الأمم المتحدة، وتعزيز دورها فى مختلف المجالات.
في الختام، أتوجه بالتحية والتقدير، لكل من ساهم فى مسيرة هذه المنظمة ونجدد عهدنا، بأن تظل مصر دائما، فى مقدمة الداعمين لرسالتها النبيلة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered a recorded speech on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations. The President addressed ways to develop the role of the international organization and strengthen its ability to confront the current grave international challenges. Following is the text of the President’s speech:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ladies and Gentlemen,
At this historic moment, as we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, Egypt stands as one of the founding states of this venerable organization, proud of its pioneering role in upholding the UN Charter, consolidating the principles of international peace and security, being one of the largest contributors to peacekeeping endeavors.
Our celebration today comes at a pivotal moment, when global balances are being reshaped, and unprecedented challenges are being imposed on the international community.
Egypt firmly believes that there is no alternative to developing and reforming the United Nations to enable it to keep pace with these transformations. It also emphasizes that any development or reform must solidify the necessity of respecting international law and avoiding double standards.
In the same context, Egypt appreciates the efforts of the Secretary-General in reforming the organization and reaffirms the importance of the UN playing a tangible role in achieving the long-sought peace in the Middle East and avoiding escalation.
Egypt also believes in the vital role of the United Nations in achieving sustainable development, respecting human rights, and coordinating efforts to confront global challenges, foremost among them climate change and water scarcity.
It gives me great pleasure, as we celebrate this historic anniversary, to announce Egypt’s inauguration of new headquarters for regional and country UN offices in the New Administrative Capital, affirming Egypt’s unwavering commitment to supporting the United Nations and promoting its role in various fields.
In conclusion, I extend my greetings and appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the journey of this organization. We renew our pledge that Egypt will always remain at the forefront of those who support its noble mission.
