يعرض اليوم الأربعاء 19 نوفمبر، في إطار عروض الجالا بالدورة 46 لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، فيلم “كوندافا” للمخرج علي بنجلون، في عرضه العالمي الأول، وذلك ضمن مسابقة آفاق السينما العربية، على المسرح الصغير بدار الأوبرا المصرية في تمام الساعة 9:00 مساءً.
الفيلم، وهو عمل روائي طويل مدته 96 دقيقة، إنتاج مغربي ويُقدم باللغة العربية، ويأخذ الجمهور إلى قلب قرية صغيرة في جبال الأطلس الكبير، حيث يعيش ثلاثة شباب—سعيد وبراهيم وعمر—على حلم اعتلاء خشبة الشهرة من خلال الموسيقى، بينما تواصل فاطمة ونساء القرية الغناء في الحقول بوصفه جزءًا أصيلًا من إرثهن الثقافي.
لكن وصول إمام متشدد إلى القرية يضع الجميع أمام اختبار صعب، إذ تبدأ الخلافات في الظهور وتُزرع بذور الانقسام بين من ينكر هويته الأمازيغية تحت ضغط الخطاب المتشدد، ومن يختار المقاومة حفاظًا على التراث، لتتحول الحياة الهادئة إلى مواجهة مفتوحة بين الذاكرة والهوية والصوت الحر.
المخرج علي بنجلون يدخل بفيلم “كوندافا” إلى عالم الأفلام الروائية الطويلة للمرة الأولى، بعد مسيرة مهنية بدأها في بيئة سينمائية نشأ فيها إلى جانب والده المخرج والمنتج حسن بنجلون، متنقلًا بين مواقع تصوير الأفلام في الدار البيضاء. وبعد حصوله على درجة الماجستير في التصوير السينمائي من فرنسا، عمل مديرًا للتصوير في أعمال روائية ووثائقية وتلفزيونية، مستفيدًا من خبرات وتجارب متعددة. كما أخرج الفيلم الوثائقي “مسار اللاجئين” الذي تناول قضايا اللجوء السياسي، قبل أن يقدّم عدة أفلام روائية قصيرة.

يُعد مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي أحد أعرق المهرجانات في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، وأحد أبرز المهرجانات الدولية المعتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي للمنتجين (FIAPF). تأسس عام 1976، ويقام سنويًا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة. يحرص المهرجان في كل دورة على الجمع بين البعد الفني والبعد المهني، ما يجعله منصة رئيسية للحوار بين الثقافات وتعزيز حضور السينما العربية على الساحة الدولية.

Today: World Premiere of the Film “Kondava” in the Arab Horizons Competition at the Cairo International Film Festival
Today, Wednesday, November 19, as part of the Gala screenings of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, the film Kondava directed by Ali Benjelloun will have its world premiere within the Arab Horizons Competition. The screening is scheduled for 9:00 PM on the Small Theatre stage at the Cairo Opera House.
The film, a 96-minute narrative feature produced in Morocco and presented in Arabic, takes the audience into the heart of a small village in the High Atlas Mountains, where three young men—Said, Ibrahim, and Omar—live with the dream of achieving fame through music. Meanwhile, Fatima and the village women continue singing in the fields as an integral part of their cultural heritage.
However, the arrival of a strict imam in the village challenges everyone, as conflicts emerge and seeds of division are sown between those who deny their Amazigh identity under pressure from militant discourse and those who choose to resist in order to preserve their heritage. The peaceful life turns into an open confrontation between memory, identity, and the free voice.
Director Ali Benjelloun enters the world of feature filmmaking for the first time with Kondava, following a career nurtured in a cinematic environment alongside his father, director and producer Hassan Benjelloun. Moving between film sets in Casablanca and after earning a master’s degree in cinematography from France, he worked as a director of photography on narrative, documentary, and television projects, gaining diverse experiences. He also directed the documentary Refugee Path, which addressed political asylum issues, before presenting several short narrative films.
