في إطار فعاليات أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما المقامة ضمن أنشطة مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي في دورته الـ46، يستضيف فندق سوفيتيل – قاعة نفرتيتي اليوم الخميس 20 نوفمبر حلقة نقاشية بعنوان “الحياة بعد سهام: صياغة الذكرى عبر الفيلم الوثائقي”، وذلك من 2:30 حتى 3:30 مساءً، يقدمها المخرج نمير عبد المسيح، وتُقام الجلسة لحاملي البطاقات.
يأتي تنظيم هذه الجلسة بعد النجاح اللافت الذي حققه فيلم “الحياة بعد سهام” وحصده عددًا من الجوائز في مهرجانات دولية كبرى، ليقود عبد المسيح حوارًا خاصًا يشارك خلاله رحلته الإبداعية في صناعة هذا الفيلم الوثائقي المؤثر. ويكشف المخرج في هذه الندوة تجربته الشخصية والفنية في تحويل رحلة الفقد والحزن إلى عمل بصري صادق وعميق، متأمّلًا منهجيته التي تمزج بين السيرة الذاتية والسينما، وكيف يوظف الذاكرة والعائلة والهوية لبناء سرد وثائقي مشحون بالحميمية والمعاني الإنسانية.
وتمنح هذه الجلسة الحضور فرصة فريدة للغوص في كواليس أحد أبرز الأفلام الوثائقية العربية المعاصرة، والتعرف إلى رؤية سينمائية توازن بين الصدق العاطفي والسرد البصري والتجريب الشخصي، بما يعكس قدرة الفيلم الوثائقي على إعادة صياغة الذكرى وتحويل التجربة الفردية إلى خطاب إنساني واسع الأثر.

أُطلقت “أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما” كمنصّة مخصصة لدعم وتطوير الصناعة السينمائية في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، من خلال توفير فرص التمويل والتدريب والتشبيك بين صُنّاع الأفلام والخبراء الدوليين. تضم الأيام عدة برامج ومحاور رئيسية أبرزها: ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي، منتدى المحترفين، وورش العمل المتخصصة. وقد أصبحت اليوم إحدى أهم الفعاليات المهنية في المنطقة، لما تقدمه من فرص حقيقية لتطوير المشاريع والمواهب الناشئة.
*عن مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي*
يُعد مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي أحد أعرق المهرجانات في العالم العربي وأفريقيا، وأحد أبرز المهرجانات الدولية المعتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي للمنتجين (FIAPF). تأسس عام 1976، ويقام سنويًا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة. يحرص المهرجان في كل دورة على الجمع بين البعد الفني والبعد المهني، ما يجعله منصة رئيسية للحوار بين الثقافات وتعزيز حضور السينما العربية على الساحة الدولية.

Today: Panel Discussion on “Life After Saham” with Director Namir Abdel Messeih at Cairo Industry Days
As part of Cairo Industry Days, held within the activities of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival, Sofitel Hotel – Nefertiti Hall hosts today, Thursday, November 20, a panel titled “Life After Saham: Shaping Memory through Documentary Film” from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The session is presented by director Namir Abdel Messeih and is open to badge holders.
The session comes in the wake of the remarkable success of the documentary Life After Saham, which has received several awards at major international festivals. Abdel Messeih leads an intimate dialogue sharing his creative journey in making this impactful documentary. In this seminar, the director reveals his personal and artistic experience of transforming a journey of loss and grief into an honest and profound visual work, reflecting upon his methodology blending autobiography and cinema, and how he employs memory, family, and identity to build a documentary narrative filled with intimacy and human meaning.
This session offers attendees a unique opportunity to explore behind the scenes of one of the most prominent contemporary Arab documentaries and to discover a cinematic vision balancing emotional truth, visual storytelling, and personal experimentation, reflecting the documentary film’s power to reshape memory and transform individual experience into a widely resonant human discourse.
