وقّع الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، اتفاقية تآخي ومذكرة تفاهم شاملة مع مهرجان جزيرة هاينان السينمائي الدولي (HIIFF). جرت مراسم التوقيع بحضور وفد من القيادات السينمائية والتنفيذية الصينية؛ حيث مثّلت حكومة مقاطعة هاينان السيدة لي جياو هوي، مديرة مكتب السينما في المقاطعة، بمشاركة السيد تشانغ هواي، المدير التنفيذي لمهرجان جزيرة هاينان.
ناقش الطرفان آليات العمل المشترك وتبادل الخبرات التنظيمية، واتفقا على تفعيل بنود التعاون خلال الدورة السابعة لمهرجان هاينان، المقررة في شهر ديسمبر 2026. ووجه الوفد الصيني دعوةً رسميةً للفنان حسين فهمي لحضور فعاليات الدورة القادمة كضيف شرف، وتسلم حسين فهمي خلال اللقاء هديةً تذكاريةً تعكس التراث البصري لمقاطعة هاينان تعبيرًا عن التقدير المتبادل.
تمثل هذه الاتفاقية خطوةً استراتيجيةً لتوسيع نطاق التواجد المصري في المشهد السينمائي الآسيوي، وتعد اتفاقية التآخي مع مهرجان هاينان رابع تعاون رسمي يعقده مهرجان القاهرة مع الكيانات السينمائية الكبرى في الصين، لتنضم إلى قائمة الشراكات المبرمة مسبقًا مع كل من: مهرجان الباندا الذهبي، ومهرجان شنغهاي السينمائي الدولي، ومهرجان بكين السينمائي الدولي.
وفي تصريح خاص حول هذا التعاون، قال الفنان حسين فهمي: “يؤدي مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي دورًا محوريًّا في بناء جسور التواصل الفكري والتبادل المعرفي بين الشعوب. تفتح الشراكة مع مهرجان جزيرة هاينان آفاقًا واسعة أمام صناع السينما في مصر والعالم العربي للتواجد المباشر في السوق الآسيوية، وتوفر للجمهور المصري فرصةً حقيقيةً لاستكشاف التطور المذهل الذي تشهده السينما الصينية المعاصرة”.
جرت مراسم التوقيع على هامش تواجد الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة، في الصين لتصوير دور البطولة في الفيلم الوثائقي الدرامي “القصة التي وجدتها في الصين” (The Story I Found In China). ويعد هذا الفيلم إنتاجًا ضخمًا لشبكة التلفزيون الدولية الصينية (CGTN)، ويوثق التحولات الاجتماعية والثقافية المعاصرة في المجتمع الصيني؛ حيث يجسد حسين فهمي شخصية مسافر حكيم يستكشف مدنًا صينيةً عدة، من بينها بكين، وهانغتشو، وسوجو، وشنتشن، في خطوة فنية تواكب الاحتفاء بمرور سبعين عامًا على العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين القاهرة وبكين.

يقام مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي سنويًا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة المصرية، ويصنف كأحد أعرق الفعاليات السينمائية في العالم العربي وأفريقيا. ويتميز بكونه المهرجان الوحيد في المنطقة العربية والأفريقية المسجل ضمن الفئة الأولى (A) في الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات منتجي الأفلام (FIAPF). ويمثل المهرجان منصة رئيسية لدعم وتقييم صناعة السينما دوليًّا، ويوفر مساحة حيوية لتلاقي الثقافات وتبادل الخبرات السينمائية.

تأسس مهرجان جزيرة هاينان السينمائي الدولي في أواخر عام 2018 في مدينة سانيا الساحلية بمقاطعة هاينان الصينية، ويقام بتنظيم مشترك بين مجموعة الصين للإعلام وحكومة المقاطعة. يهدف المهرجان إلى تعزيز التبادل الثقافي السينمائي، ودعم الابتكار في صناعة السينما الآسيوية والعالمية. يضم المهرجان مسابقة “جوز الهند الذهبية”، وسوق “مختبر جوز الهند الطازج” المتخصص في توفير التمويل وتطوير المشاريع السينمائية الناشئة، بالإضافة إلى منتديات وحلقات نقاش مهنية تستقطب صناع السينما من مختلف دول العالم. وتنعقد دورته السابعة في شهر ديسمبر 2026.

*Cairo International Film Festival Signs Twinning Agreement with China’s Hainan Island Film Festival*
Renowned artist Hussein Fahmy, President of Cairo International Film Festival, signed a twinning agreement and a comprehensive memorandum of understanding with Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF). The signing ceremony took place in the presence of a delegation of Chinese cinematic and executive leaders. Hainan Provincial Government was represented by Ms. Li Jiaohui, Director of the Provincial Film Bureau, with the participation of Mr. Zhang Huai, Executive Director of Hainan Island Film Festival.
Both parties discussed mechanisms for joint collaboration and the exchange of organizational expertise, agreeing to activate the terms of cooperation during the 7th edition of Hainan Film Festival, scheduled for December 2026. The Chinese delegation extended an official invitation to artist Hussein Fahmy to attend the upcoming edition as a guest of honor. During the meeting, Hussein Fahmy received a commemorative gift reflecting the visual heritage of Hainan Province as a token of mutual appreciation.
This agreement represents a strategic step to expand Egyptian presence within the Asian cinematic landscape. The twinning agreement with Hainan Film Festival marks the fourth official collaboration established by Cairo Festival with major cinematic entities in China, joining a list of previously concluded partnerships with the Golden Panda Awards, Shanghai International Film Festival, and Beijing International Film Festival.
In a special statement regarding this cooperation, artist Hussein Fahmy said: “Cairo International Film Festival plays a pivotal role in building bridges of intellectual communication and knowledge exchange among nations. The partnership with Hainan Island Film Festival opens broad horizons for filmmakers in Egypt and the Arab world to establish a direct presence in the Asian market, and provides Egyptian audiences with a genuine opportunity to explore the remarkable development witnessed by contemporary Chinese cinema.”
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of artist Hussein Fahmy’s, President of Cairo Festival, visit to China to shoot his leading role in the docudrama film “The Story I Found In China”. This film is a major production by China Global Television Network (CGTN) that documents contemporary social and cultural transformations within Chinese society. Hussein Fahmy portrays a wise traveler exploring several Chinese cities, including Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Shenzhen, in an artistic endeavor that coincides with the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations between Cairo and Beijing.
