يسعد مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي الإعلان عن استمرار تعاونه في مبادرة “فانتاستيك 7” (Fantastic 7)، وهي جهد مشترك بين سوق الفيلم التابع لمهرجان كان السينمائي (Marché du Film) ومهرجان سيتجيس السينمائي الدولي بكتالونيا (Sitges)، بهدف دعم وترويج مشاريع أفلام النوع على مستوى العالم. حيث اختار مهرجان القاهرة هذا العام مشروع فيلم “أبيض وأسود وألوان” للمخرجة راندا علي لتمثيله في هذا الحدث المهم.
ويأتي هذا الاختيار لكون المشروع يقدم تطورًا لسينما النوع في المنطقة العربية، حيث يدمج رحلة النضوج مع عناصر الغموض، معتمدًا على أدوات الواقعية السحرية والتوتر النفسي، مما يبرز قوة بنيته السردية المبتكرة.
وتعتمد المبادرة سنويًّا على اختيار سبعة مهرجانات سينمائية دولية لترشيح مشروع فيلم ينتمي لأفلام النوع، ليتم عرضه في مدينة كان خلال فعاليات سوق الفيلم. ويحظى صناع هذه المشاريع بفرصة استثنائية لتقديم أعمالهم في جلسة عرض مباشرة أمام نخبة من المستثمرين والموزعين ووكلاء المبيعات، وفتح قنوات تواصل مباشرة مع أهم خبراء الصناعة العالميين لتوفير الدعم اللازم وخروج هذه المشاريع إلى النور.
وقد أعلنت اليوم صفحة سوق الفيلم في كان التشكيلة المميزة لمبادرة Fantastic 7 لعام 2026، والتي تضم سبعة مهرجانات سينمائية عالمية رائدة؛ وهي: مهرجان سيتجيس السينمائي الدولي بكتالونيا (SITGES)، مهرجان بوتشون الدولي لأفلام الخيال (BIFAN)، مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي (CIFF)، مهرجان غوادالاخارا السينمائي الدولي (FICG)، مهرجان هونغ كونغ السينمائي الدولي (HKIFF)، مهرجان ساوث باي ساوث واست السينمائي والتلفزيوني (SXSW)، ومهرجان تالين بلاك نايتس السينمائي (PÖFF).
وأشار الإعلان إلى أن اختيارات هذا العام تغوص في عوالم التحولات المثيرة للاضطراب، وتشمل موضوعات متنوعة من الاختفاءات الغامضة وتجارب النجاة في عوالم ما بعد الكارثة، إلى الفوضى والطوائف والظواهر الخارقة. وستقام جلسة العرض المباشرة لهذه المشاريع في مدينة كان يوم 17 مايو في قاعة (Palais K) الساعة 12:00 ظهرًا.
وصرّح الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، قائلًا: “نحن فخورون بوجودنا في هذا المحفل العالمي. إن دعم المواهب الشابة ومشاريعهم المبتكرة يمثل جوهر رؤيتنا في المهرجان، وفيلم ‘أبيض وأسود وألوان’ يعبر عن رؤية فنية فريدة تستحق الوصول إلى آفاق دولية رحبة. إيماننا بقدرات صناع الأفلام العرب يدفعنا دائمًا لتوفير منصات تمكنهم من مقابلة الفاعلين الأساسيين في الصناعة السينمائية العالمية، وهو ما يحقق أهدافنا في دعم الإبداع ودفعه نحو التميز”.
ويعد ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي اليوم وجهة موثوقة يقصدها كافة المهتمين بالسينما العربية؛ فخلال الخمسة عشر عامًا الماضية، نجح الملتقى في تقديم مجموعة من أهم الأفلام التي عرضت في كبرى المهرجانات العالمية وحصدت جوائز مرموقة. ويعكس هذا النجاح دقة اختيارات المهرجان وقدرته على استشراف المواهب التي تضع بصمة واضحة في السينما المعاصرة، مما جعل أنظار خبراء الصناعة تتجه دائمًا نحو المشاريع التي يدعمها المهرجان.

*Cairo International Film Festival Continues its Collaboration with the Cannes Marché du Film and Sitges Festival, Championing “Rock, Paper, Sea” in the “Fantastic 7” Initiative*

The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) is pleased to announce its continued collaboration in the “Fantastic 7” initiative, a joint effort between the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival and the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, aimed at supporting and promoting genre film projects worldwide. This year, CIFF has selected the film project “Rock, Paper, Sea” by director Randa Ali to represent it at this important event.
This selection comes as the project represents a development in genre cinema within the Arab region. It blends a coming-of-age journey with elements of mystery, relying on tools of magical realism and psychological tension, which highlights the strength of its innovative narrative structure.
The initiative annually relies on the selection of seven international film festivals to nominate a genre film project to be showcased in Cannes during the Marché du Film. The creators of these projects have an exceptional opportunity to present their work in a live pitching session in front of a select group of investors, distributors, and sales agents, opening direct communication channels with top global industry experts to secure necessary support and bring these projects to light.
Today, the Cannes Marché du Film page announced the distinguished lineup for the 2026 Fantastic 7 initiative, comprising seven leading global film festivals: SITGES – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG), Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), SXSW Film & TV Festival, and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF).
The announcement indicated that this year’s selections dive into the realms of unsettling transformations, covering diverse themes from mysterious disappearances and post-apocalyptic survival experiments to chaos, cults, and supernatural phenomena. The live pitching session for these projects will take place in Cannes on May 17 at Palais K at 12:00 PM.
