*حسين فهمي في أولى جلسات الجناح المصري في “كان”: الحفاظ على التراث السينمائي مسؤولية مستمرة لربط الأجيال بتاريخنا الفني*
شارك الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، اليوم في الجلسة النقاشية الأولى بالجناح المصري في مهرجان كان السينمائي تحت عنوان “إحياء التراث”، بمشاركة الدكتور هاني أبو الحسن، مستشار رئيس مدينة الإنتاج الإعلامي للتعاون الدولي، وضياء جربي من مبادرة تداول الأرشيف بتونس، ويوسف شاذلي رئيس التوزيع في شركة “أفلام مصر العالمية” والمشرف على ترميم وبيع الأفلام من مكتبتها السينمائية.
خصصت الجلسة لمناقشة قضايا ترميم وعرض كلاسيكيات السينما المصرية، والبحث في السبل الكفيلة بإعادة هذه الأعمال الخالدة إلى شاشات العرض وتقديمها لجمهور جديد. ويستعرض المتحدثون الجهود القائمة في هذا الصدد، مع تحديد العقبات التي تواجه عمليات الحفظ، في حوار معمق يتناول الذاكرة السينمائية وحماية التراث الفني.
وركزت محاور الجلسة على استشراف مستقبل الإرث السينمائي، ودراسة ما يتطلبه استعادة هذه الكنوز لضمان وصولها إلى الأجيال القادمة، مع تسليط الضوء على أهمية الحفاظ على الهوية البصرية والتاريخ الفني المصري.
وفي كلمته قال الفنان حسين فهمي: “نمتلك عددًا كبيرًا من الأفلام المصرية المهمة التي تستحق الترميم، ويعد الحفاظ على هذا التراث السينمائي مسؤولية مستمرة؛ فكل فيلم يُرمم يتيح لجيل جديد إعادة التواصل مع فصل مهم من تاريخنا الفني. لقد كان مخرجو الأفلام الكلاسيكية يستكشفون أدوات هذا الفن، ويختبرون التكوينات وزوايا التصوير والأشكال السردية، وهذا يثير اهتمام الجمهور الشاب في مصر، ويمنحهم فرصةً لاكتشاف أصول هذه الحرفة”.

ويقام الجناح المصري في منطقة “البانتييرو” المطلة على الميناء القديم بمدينة كان الفرنسية، ويأتي كمبادرة مشتركة بين مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، ولجنة مصر للأفلام، ومهرجان الجونة السينمائي، ويمثل الجناح منصةً مهمة تجمع المؤسسات السينمائية المصرية الكبرى لترسيخ التواجد المصري داخل السوق السينمائي العالمي، وفتح آفاق للتعاون والإنتاج المشترك.

يقام مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي سنويًّا تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة المصرية، ويصنف كأحد أعرق الفعاليات السينمائية في العالم العربي وأفريقيا. ويتميز بكونه المهرجان الوحيد في المنطقة المسجل ضمن الفئة الأولى (A) في الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات منتجي الأفلام (FIAPF). ويمثل المهرجان منصة رئيسية لدعم وتقييم صناعة السينما دوليًّا، ويوفر مساحة حيوية لتلاقي الثقافات وتبادل الخبرات السينمائية.

*Hussein Fahmi in the First Session of the Egyptian Pavilion at Cannes: Preserving Cinematic Heritage is an Ongoing Responsibility to Connect Generations with Our Artistic History*
Actor Hussein Fahmi, President of Cairo International Film Festival, participated today in the first panel discussion at the Egyptian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival under the title “Reviving Heritage”. Other speakers were Dr. Hany Aboul Hassan, Advisor to the President of the Egyptian Media Production City for International Cooperation, Dhia Jerbi from the Archive Circulation Initiative in Tunisia, and Youssef Shazli, Head of Distribution at Misr International Films and supervisor of the restoration and sale of its cinematic library.
The session was dedicated to discussing the issues of restoring and screening classics of Egyptian cinema, and exploring ways to return these immortal works to screens and present them to a new audience. The speakers reviewed the existing efforts in this regard, identifying the obstacles facing preservation processes, in an in-depth dialogue dealing with cinematic memory and the protection of artistic heritage.
The main themes of the session focused on anticipating the future of cinematic heritage, and studying what it takes to restore these treasures to ensure they reach future generations, while highlighting the importance of preserving the visual identity and Egyptian artistic history.
In his speech, actor Hussein Fahmi said: “We have a large number of important Egyptian films that deserve restoration, and preserving this cinematic heritage is an ongoing responsibility; every restored film allows a new generation to reconnect with an important chapter of our artistic history. Classic film directors were exploring the tools of this art, experimenting with compositions, camera angles, and narrative forms. This arouses the interest of the young audience in Egypt, granting them an opportunity to discover the origins of this craft.”

The Egyptian Pavilion is located in the “Pantiero” area overlooking the old port in the French city of Cannes, and comes as a joint initiative between Cairo International Film Festival, the Egypt Film Commission, and El Gouna Film Festival. The pavilion represents an important platform bringing together major Egyptian cinematic institutions to consolidate the Egyptian presence within the global film market, and open horizons for cooperation and co-production.
