شهد الجناح المصري في مهرجان كان السينمائي الإعلان عن تعاون جديد يجمع بين مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، والاتحاد الدولي للنقاد السينمائيين (فيبريسي)، وبرنامج مواهب ديربان، وذلك خلال حفل الاستقبال السنوي للاتحاد.
بموجب هذا التعاون، يختار الاتحاد الدولي للنقاد أحد أبرز المشاركين في قسم النقد السينمائي ببرنامج مواهب ديربان لنيل جائزة يقدّمها مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، تتضمّن دعوته لحضور المهرجان وتغطية فعالياته والكتابة في نشرته اليومية الصادرة بالإنجليزية.
استُهلّ الحفل بكلمة للناقد أحمد شوقي، رئيس الاتحاد الدولي للنقاد السينمائيين، توجّه فيها بالشكر إلى الجناح المصري على استضافته حفل الاستقبال للعام الثاني على التوالي، كما أكد على أهمية وجود مثل هذا الحفل كنقطة التقاء لجميع النقاد السينمائيين في وسط أكبر حدث سينمائي عالمي.
عقب ذلك، ألقى الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، كلمة عبّر فيها عن اعتزازه بتولّي ناقد مصري رئاسة هذا الاتحاد العريق، مستعرضًا مسيرة التعاون المشترك، ولا سيّما الدورة الماضية التي احتضنت احتفالية مئوية الاتحاد، وأثمرت عن إصدار كتاب يضمّ أفضل خمسة وعشرين فيلمًا مصريًا خلال خمسة وعشرين عامًا، إلى جانب تكريم خاصّ للمخرجة المجرية إلديكو إنييدي.
ثم قدّم الناقد محمد طارق، المدير الفني لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، تفاصيل المبادرة الثلاثية خلال الحفل. ومن جانبها، وصفت ماجدلين ريدي، مديرة معهد سوق ديربان للأفلام، هذا التعاون بأنه خطوة مهمّة في دعم النقد السينمائي وتمكين النقاد الشباب في القارة الإفريقية.

يُعدّ مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي أحد أعرق المهرجانات السينمائية المعتمدة دوليًا في إفريقيا والعالم العربي والشرق الأوسط، وأحد خمسة عشر مهرجانًا فقط في العالم تحمل تصنيف الفئة (أ) من الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات منتجي الأفلام (FIAPF). يُقام المهرجان سنويًا في القاهرة خلال شهر نوفمبر، حيث يعرض نحو مئة وخمسين فيلمًا من مختلف أنحاء العالم ضمن تسعة أقسام، تتنافس أبرزها على جائزتَي الهرم الذهبي والهرم الفضي.

الاتحاد الدولي للنقاد السينمائيين (فيبريسي) رابطة تضمّ المنظمات الوطنية للنقاد والصحفيين السينمائيين المحترفين حول العالم، تأسّست في يونيو ١٩٣٠ في بروكسل، ويبلغ عدد الدول الأعضاء فيها أكثر من خمسين دولة. يعمل الاتحاد على تعزيز ثقافة السينما وتطويرها وصون المصالح المهنية للنقاد، ويمنح جائزته في كبرى المهرجانات الدولية. ويرأسه حاليًا الناقد المصري أحمد شوقي.

يدير معهد سوق ديربان للأفلام (DFMI) برنامج مواهب ديربان منذ عام ٢٠١٩ بالتعاون مع مهرجان برلين السينمائي الدولي ضمن شبكة برليناله تالنتس الدولية. يدعم البرنامج صنّاع الأفلام والنقاد الأفارقة الناشئين، ويضمّ قسم «Talent Press» المخصّص لإرشاد النقاد الشباب في القارة وتطوير أدواتهم النقدية.

*A New Collaboration Between the Cairo International Film Festival, FIPRESCI, and Durban Film Mart to Empower Young Critics*
The Egyptian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival witnessed the announcement of a new collaboration bringing together the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), and the Durban FilmMart (DFM), during the Federation’s annual reception.
Under this collaboration, FIPRESCI will select one of the standout participants in the Durban Talent Press program to receive an award presented by CIFF. This award includes an invitation to attend the festival, cover its events, and write for its English-language daily bulletin.
The ceremony began with a speech by critic Ahmed Shawky, President of FIPRESCI, who thanked the Egyptian Pavilion for hosting the reception for the second consecutive year. He also emphasized the importance of such an event serving as a meeting point for all film critics amidst the world’s largest cinematic event.
Following this, the esteemed actor Hussein Fahmi, President of CIFF, delivered a speech expressing his pride in having an Egyptian critic head this prestigious federation. He reviewed the history of their cooperation, particularly highlighting the previous edition which hosted the Federation’s centenary celebration. This collaboration resulted in the publication of a book featuring the top 25 Egyptian films over the past 25 years, alongside a special tribute to the Hungarian director Ildikó Enyedi.
Critic Mohamed Tarek, Artistic Director of CIFF, then presented the details of the new initiative during the ceremony. For her part, Magdalene Reddy, Director of the Durban FilmMart Institute, described this collaboration as a significant step in supporting film criticism and empowering young critics across the African continent.
