يعلن مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي فتح باب التقديم لورشة “اختيار الممثلين كعملية إبداعية”، بالتعاون مع منصة ArabAmericanCasting، ضمن فعاليات أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما، في إطار الدورة السابعة والأربعين من المهرجان المقررة إقامتها في الفترة من 11 إلى 20 نوفمبر 2026.
تأتي الورشة في إطار اهتمام المهرجان بتوفير مساحات تدريبية متخصصة لصناع الأفلام والمواهب العاملة في مختلف مجالات صناعة السينما، وتسليط الضوء على عملية اختيار الممثلين باعتبارها عنصرًا أساسيًّا في بناء الفيلم وتطوير رؤيته الإبداعية، تتجاوز مرحلة البحث عن ممثلين لأدوار محددة.
تستكشف الورشة كيفية تعاون المخرجين والمنتجين ومديري اختيار الممثلين والممثلين من أجل بناء فريق يخدم القصة، ويعزز العلاقات بين الشخصيات، ويساهم في تقديم أداءات مقنعة ومتسقة مع رؤية الفيلم. ويقدم البرنامج اختيار الممثلين كعملية إبداعية تبدأ منذ المراحل المبكرة لتطوير المشروع، وتستمر خلال اختبارات الأداء وإعادة الاختبارات والاستعداد للإنتاج.
ومن خلال الأمثلة العملية، والمناقشات الجماعية، وتمارين اختيار الممثلين، ودراسات الحالات الواقعية، يتعرف المشاركون على كيفية التعبير عن رؤيتهم الإبداعية، والتعامل مع الأدوار والشخصيات التي تتطلب حلولًا خاصة، وإجراء اختبارات أداء أكثر فاعلية، واتخاذ قرارات مدروسة في عملية اختيار الممثلين.
يقود الورشة الممثل ومدير اختيار الممثلين اللبناني الأمريكي حمزة سمان، مقدمًا للمشاركين خبرته في مجال التمثيل واختيار الممثلين، مع التركيز على العلاقة بين رؤية المخرج، واحتياجات الشخصية، واختيار الممثل المناسب للدور.
تقام الورشة ضمن فعاليات أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما، وتشترط فيمن يتقدم لها أن يكون مصري الجنسية أو مقيمًا في مصر، وأن يتم سن 18 عامًا فأكثر وقت التقديم، مع امتلاك خبرة سابقة في صناعة الأفلام، وبصفة خاصة كصانع أفلام، أو مخرج، أو منتج، أو مدير اختيار ممثلين، أو ممثل. ويلتزم المشاركون المقبولون بحضور جميع جلسات الورشة والبرامج ذات الصلة.
يتم التقديم واستيفاء البيانات المطلوبة من خلال الاستمارة المخصصة لذلك على الموقع الرسمي لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي. مع العلم أن الموعد النهائي للتقديم 10 أكتوبر 2026.

*Cairo International Film Festival Opens Call for Applications for “Casting as a Creative Process” Workshop in Collaboration with ArabAmericanCasting*
Cairo International Film Festival announces opening applications for the “Casting as a Creative Process” workshop, in collaboration with the ArabAmericanCasting platform, as part of Cairo Industry Days activities, during its 47th edition scheduled to take place from November 11 to 20, 2026.
This workshop reflects the festival’s commitment to providing specialized training spaces for filmmakers and talents working across various fields of the film industry. It highlights the casting process as a fundamental element in building a film and developing its creative vision, moving beyond merely searching for actors for specific roles.
The workshop explores how directors, producers, casting directors, and actors collaborate to build a team that serves the story, enhances character dynamics, and contributes to delivering compelling performances consistent with the film’s vision. The program presents casting as a creative process beginning in the early stages of project development and continuing through auditions, callbacks, and pre-production preparation.
Through practical examples, group discussions, casting exercises, and real-life case studies, participants will learn how to express their creative vision, handle roles and characters requiring special solutions, conduct more effective auditions, and make informed decisions during the casting process.
The workshop is led by Lebanese-American actor and casting director Hamza Samman, who will share his acting and casting expertise with participants, focusing on the relationship between a director’s vision, character needs, and selecting the right actor for the role.
The workshop takes place as part of Cairo Industry Days. Applicants must be Egyptian nationals or residents of Egypt, aged 18 or older at the time of application, with prior experience in the film industry, specifically as a filmmaker, director, producer, casting director, or actor. Accepted participants are required to attend all workshop sessions and related programs.
